In your data tables within Lunio, you will see a line underneath the IP address for "Cryptographic ID".
This string of numbers is a unique identifier that Lunio uses to identify if clicks from the same IP address are coming from the same users, or different users on the same network (for example cellular/mobile network users). In essence, a cryptographic ID is an advanced device ID.
The Cryptographic ID uses a number of metrics in its calculation, including but not limited to:
- IP address
- User agent
- Operating system
- Screen resolution
- Hardware ID
- Device type
- Geographic location
Lunio will not necessarily block an IP if we see multiple clicks from the same cryptographic ID as this might not be fraudulent activity, but we do take it in to account as one of the metrics in our monitoring algorithms.
